Eight Seconds is the average human attention span–less than that of a goldfish and yes this is true as per 2015 study from Microsoft. This number has only shrunk over the years due to digital life of ours and also the fact that the human brain is now and then seeking out what’s next.
So what do YOU do as and when you need to focus on your work – and not let your attention get diverted towards what’s moving around you?
Here are 2 tricks/ tips for eliminating distractions around us and paying attention to what we need to do:
At the starting of any task, calm your brain muscle. Take 60 seconds to 80 seconds to sit in a comfortable position and relax”. Let your body relax to let brain power up before approaching your task. You’ll see improvement in concentrate.
UNPLUG DIGITAL DISTRACTIONS FOR 30 MINUTES
When you seriously need to bring your attention to given task, unplug from all digital notifications lo.e WhatsApp, LinkedIn, email, calls etc. You will see a drastic change in your way you get things done when you’re away from interruptions.
