“A successful job search isn’t about just finding any job, It’s about finding the right job.”
Everyone wants to be successful in life but does success comes to all. Is everyone around you is SUCCESSFUL?
Practically the answer is NO.
Then what makes them successful. Now just wonder, if Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Kapil Sibal, etc were engaged in any other kind of work, seems to be little strange right because they all are well -known celebrities in the cricket world. So is Mr. Sundar Pichai, the well-known personality for being the CEO of Google from the past three years. They all are successful because they opted what is their kind of interest. They might not be that successful if they opted to work on something else than their interest.
In order to be what you want to be, to get where you want, in order to live the life you have been dreaming for years, and in order to lead the way you want to lead, all you need is to find that focus based on your interest that will make it all possible and also how identifying your interest can help you to get the right job.
All you need to do in order to make the right search is –
- Identify your interest
- Rate your search focus and then
- Identify your target companies
IDENTIFYING YOUR INTEREST
You don’t have to search for just finding ‘any’ job, you just need to find out the right one because the best outcome comes when you enjoy the work you do, and this is the reason behind every successful person. As they work more on what they love to do.
So, identifying your interest will allow you to:
- Focus more on the best possible opportunities that are suitable for you
- Make the most out of your time you spend on your job search
- Reach your goals more quickly
Your search focus should consist of job title or field, an industry, and a geographic area. You have a good search focus when it positions you well for your career goals, that can be within a growing market with more job offers then job seekers, and is found in a location or industry that fits your need and interests, and is not so limited. Along with this, you need to set an alternate/backup behind.
Identify your first priority and then alternatives like this
